Hi! I’m AJ.
I’ve been around the block so many times that now I have gray hair. But I’m okay with that! I consider my grays a sign of wisdom, so I’ll wear them proudly.
I’m a 1990 graduate of USC, having majored in Visual Art with a dual major in Business Managment.
I’ve clocked in and completed more than 12 years of art classes. And with the 30+ years I’ve spent making and also teaching art, my list of credentials and happy clients has grown longer than Santa’s shopping list. I have created everything, from greeting cards and children’s books to company logos and face painting.
Unexpected Outcomes
Earlier on, if anyone had asked me, I would never have guessed that I’d be an expert face painter and a business coach for this profession. I cannot recall ever having my face painted as a child. And my children never had their faces painted when they were young. It was a long series of life experiences that led me here – an unexpected outcome.

I Work Less & Earn More
None the less, here I am! Picture yourself in my shoes… I am standing in a small circle of professionals at a business mixer. They’re all wearing “office apparel”. Among us is a dental hygienist, accountant, paralegal, etc… Then there’s me, in my company branded sports jersey and jeans. I used to worry about what they thought of me and my “silly career path” until I changed my point of view. I get paid more per hour than many of them and my job is actually very important – I make JOY.
Make Joy For YOU Too!
That JOY I am speaking of is not just for the children. Face painters and balloon twisters have the same very important job. That job is to create joy for everyone in your line or audience, regardless of age. But, the JOY we create for our clients has to also create JOY for us or we’ll burn out. My goal is to teach you everything you need to achieve success, which I define as experiencing the PRIDE and JOY of peacefully and prosperously face painting and/or balloon twisting.
